Geelong Branch Relocates to New Premises
After a year-long building process, we are delighted to announce that our Geelong branch has relocated to new premises on 1 – 3 Grandview Parade, Moolap. The branch is operating from its new site starting today (Monday, 4th of December).
The need for a new site arose when the branch outgrew its old location on Anomaly Street. Geelong is the second largest city in Victoria after Melbourne. It has a rapidly growing population with currently more than 280,000 people calling the city home. Geelong is also known as a “gateway city” due to its critical location allowing easy access to popular tourist destinations in Victoria such as the Bellarine Peninsula, the Great Ocean Road and Torquay. To cater to the increasing demand for high quality batteries among residents and travellers,
R&J Batteries contracted a builder based locally in Geelong to design and construct the much larger new site. The building process started back in January 2023.
Situated on a prominent location right on Portarlington Road, the branch is easily visible and accessible with a host of key features designed to provide the ultimate customer experience. The large showroom displays all our world class products to allow customers to leisurely explore the different power solutions and make informed decisions. The site also offers ample parking and undercover drive-through bays for battery testing and fitting services. The new warehouse, which is triple the size of the previous space, will hold more stock to allow us to service our trade customers efficiently. The building was also designed to be environmentally conscious with the installation of a 59kw solar power array and Zenaji battery system that will power the branch, along with water tanks and water retention systems.

Speaking about the relocation, Chief Executive Officer at R&J Batteries, Stuart Hamilton said, “opening any new site is always an exciting time and our new Geelong branch is no different. We outgrew our existing site in Anomaly Street a long time ago and the opening of the Grandview Parade branch is the culmination of a project that has spanned many years.
Finding the right site, design and construction took a long time, so to be now opening this new location is fantastic.”
“Our new site has much easier access, more stock and more staff so we can increase the service levels offered to all our wonderful customers in the region,” added Hamilton.
