U.S. Battery – Deep-Cycle Batteries

U.S. Battery Company has been building flooded lead acid batteries since 1926 and are 100% manufactured in the USA including the 6-volt, 8-volt & 12-volt deep cycle range.

These deep-cycle batteries are built with Xtreme Capacity 2 (XC2) Diamond Plate Technology making U.S. Batteries the best choice for applications where batteries are subjected to deep discharge and fast recharge on a daily or regular basis.

This new technology consists of synthetic tetrabasic lead sulphate (TTBLS) additive in the paste mix which provides controlled crystal sizes and results in the enhanced performance, charging and life characteristics of U.S. Battery’s deep-cycle products.


U.S. Battery’s Xtreme Capacity Diamond Plate Technology provides:

Increased Initial Capacity
Synthetic TTBLS (tetrabasic lead sulfate) additive in the paste mix provides uniformly controlled crystal size of the resulting TTBLS in the cured plate and higher conversion efficiency of TTBLS to lead dioxide in the formed positive plate giving higher capacity.


Higher Peak Capacity
The same controlled TTBLS crystal size results in a higher conversion of TTBLS to lead dioxide in the cycled positive plate with greater and more uniform porosity and surface area for higher peak capacity.


Improved Energy Density and Specific Energy
Since there is no increase in the size or weight of the battery, higher capacity translates to improved energy density (watt-hours/liter) and specific energy (watt-hours/kilogram).


Enhanced Recharge-ability
The more uniform crystal structure of the formed positive plate results in enhanced recharge-ability particularly at low temperature and from varying states of discharge.


Fortified Plate Construction
Improved Vibration and Shock Resistance. The more uniformly controlled TTBLS crystal size results in a stronger crystal network within the formed positive plate active material resulting in decreased shedding from vibration and shock.


Improved Life Cycle
The stronger crystal network within the formed positive plate active material also results in decreased shedding from deep cycling – the primary failure mode in deep cycle batteries.

U.S. Battery – ESSENTIAL Li® Lithium-ion Batteries

U.S. Battery have introduced the new ESSENTIAL Li® Lithium-ion battery series to their already diverse range of reliable batteries. These batteries use LiFePO4 chemistry which is one of the safest lithium chemistries available as they are not susceptible to thermal runaway. This new range gives users additional choice in their battery purchase, giving them a long-lasting, lightweight and maintenance free alternative to lead acid batteries. With a cycle life up to 3 times more than a standard lead acid battery, these ESSENTIAL Li batteries are designed to be ‘the only battery you need’.

U.S. battery lead acid deep cycle batteries are engineered with the company’s exclusive XC2 formulation and Diamond Plate Technology. The ESSENTIAL Li range of Lithium-ion batteries are perfectly suited for use in golf carts. These drop in replacement batteries are engineered with safety in mind, using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, widely considered the safest chemistry available. Available in 24V & 48V sizes.

U.S. Battery has developed both lead acid deep cycle batteries and the ESSENTIAL Li Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries suitable for industrial equipment. The lead acid battery range has sizes to suit various industrial applications and have been engineered with exclusive XC2™ and Diamond Plate Technology®. These features produce deep cycle batteries capable of maintaining peak capacity for longer periods between charges, delivering the highest total energy over the life of the batteries while lowering operating costs. These technologies also result in the industry’s most efficient battery plates, leading to greater watt-hours per litre and watt-hours per kilogram than any other flooded lead-acid battery on the market.
