R&J Batteries Launches New Website
R&J Batteries is excited to announce the launch of our brand new website. The new website is fast, modern, user-friendly, responsive and equipped with information and resources to help customers make an informed decision when it comes to purchasing batteries, lubricants and accessories.
The predecessor, the original R&J Batteries website, was created in-house in 2011. Due to the company’s rapid growth, both in the number of company-owned branches and product portfolio, created the need for a new website that supports operations on the digital front. In the last 10 years, R&J Batteries has grown from 9 to 27 branches and includes a vast distribution network of more than 8,000 stockists. This growth required a new website that can cater to the increased website traffic, provide the best user experience and align with R&J Batteries’ growth strategy.
Work on the new corporate website began in mid-2020. The massive project involving R&J Batteries’ Marketing, IT and Management departments required migrating information from the old website to the new, creating new content and ensuring all information are up to date. The new website is rich with information about our entire brand and product portfolio as well as useful tools and resources..
R&J Batteries’ Marketing Manager and Designer, Leah Cushion, said, “the company has grown exponentially over the last 25 years and we needed to have a high-performing website that matched. The previous website had lots of bugs and speed issues that were not user-friendly for both staff and customers. This is why we are so excited to launch a new website with a fresher design, easier navigation and more user-friendly tools & resources like the Battery Finder. At R&J Batteries, we pride ourselves on offering the best level of service and now we have a website that can reflect this.”
“We enlisted the help of an external web design and development agency for this massive undertaking. A huge shoutout to the team for their time over the past 12 months piecing everything together. We are delighted with the outcome,” adds Cushion.
Long-term customers of R&J Batteries who have previously used the old website will find that the new Battery Finder and Cross Reference Guide are easier to use in comparison. That’s not all, there will be more great features to come in the future such as a New Zealand-specific version of the website, Deep Cycle Battery Calculator, further battery Finder improvements and product database functionalities, allowing us to display data sheets more effectively.
While we continue working behind the scenes to bring out these new features, we would like to hear your feedback on the new website thus far.
