R&J Batteries is thrilled to announce our continued sponsorship of Brad Jones Racing (BJR)’s Car #8 in 2026. It’s an exciting new era for the team with the Chevrolet Camaro being replaced by an all new Toyota GR Supra as part of BJR’s manufacturer shift.

Andre Heimgartner has already been confirmed to remain with BJR for the 2026 season and will continue as our wonderful driver for the #8 car. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do behind the wheel of the R&J Batteries backed Supra.

“2026, having the Toyotas in the team is very exciting. So, we're looking forward to a whole new era, a whole new partnership, and hopefully a lot of success for Andre and Number #8.” Said Stuart Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer at R&J Batteries.

R&J Batteries has partnered with BJR since 2020, during which time we have formed close relationships with the team and drivers. Returning #8 driver, Andre Heimgartner, agrees, “I’ve been part of the R&J family for five years now and I’m excited to keep that relationship going. It's really cool to have those people that you work closely with over the years to want to extend.”

The GR Supra has already turned heads at outings in both Bathurst and the Gold Coast, with both the design and sound of the new supercar promising a welcomed shake-up to the current field. “I think the car looks spectacular. It’s got a sound all of its own. And to be one of the first sponsors to have our name on Toyota. We're very excited about that” said Ray Robson, Managing Director at R&J Batteries.

As the partnership enters its sixth year, continuing one of the team’s most trusted and successful commercial relationships, R&J Batteries is proud to support BJR as they prepare for this new chapter with Toyota. “I am thrilled to be able to announce R&J Batteries as a naming rights sponsor for Car 8 in 2026. We’re excited to take them on the journey with us as we enter a whole new era for our team. It’s an immense project for us, and to have the support and belief from R&J Batteries means a lot for our crew.” Says Brad Jones, BJR Team Owner

With fresh energy, a new car, and the same drive to win, the 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. We’ll be backing Brad Jones Racing every step of the way - and we’re sure you’ll see a lot of the iconic red and white R&J Batteries logo next season.

The #8 R&J Batteries Toyota Supra will make its competitive debut at Sydney Motorsport Park for the opening round of the 2026 Supercars Championship, held February 20–22. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on the new #8 Supra and the 2026 season!
